Feel the adrenaline of a racing experience combines with distinctive style

MINI John Cooper Works models combine their standout sporting potential with distinctive looks and special equipment features, which accentuate the feeling of race competition adrenaline both inside the car and out. Standard specifications allows the driver to tweak the car’s accelerator responses and steering characteristics with Sport Button, powerful brakes, the

DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) system including DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) and EDLC (Electronic Differential Lock Control) for the driven axle, plus 17-inch light-alloy wheels and run flat tires. The likewise standard John Cooper Works aerodynamic kit optimizes both the airflow over and around the cars, and their visual impact. The John Cooper name has embodied the successful relationship between the British small car and sporting competition for several decades. It was back in the 1960s that the legendary sports car designer hit upon the idea of injecting a fresh dose of enjoyment into everyday road driving, and extra-potent variants of the classic MINI soon carried his name.

Its adjustable coilover suspension, high-performance brakes, comprehensive aerodynamic design, and breathtaking twin-scroll turbocharged engine combine to offer peerless driving dynamics. So let it loose precisely where it belongs –the racetrack. The technical highlight of the new model is certainly the manually adjustable coilover suspension, which ensures the front-wheel-drive racer can be adapted to any conditions. The negative camber also increased at the front axle, enabling the full potential of the sport tyres to be put to good use. This coupled with a rear diffusor, fully panelled underbody, and roof spoiler with a wing in carbon that improve down force at the rear by 90 percent. Together, these aerodynamic features offer maximum cornering speeds, and ensure the two-seater delivers precise steering in every situation.

Extensively equipped with John Cooper Works motor sport technology, this two-seater boasts outstanding performance to match its distinctive looks.

The extensively modified 1.6-litre four-cylinder turbo engine is capable of developing 218 hp of output and 260 Nm of torque (280 Nm with over boost). the MINI John Cooper Works GP provides outstanding driving enjoyment, thanks to the six-speed manual transmission, the extra-powerful sports brake system and model-specific alloy wheels with sports tires that ensure superb handling. As such it has already been clocked at 8.23 minutes on the legendary Nürburgring race track in Germany.

The MINI John Cooper Works with six-speed automatic transmission: standout sporting potential for everyday use

The MINI John Cooper Works with six speed automatic transmission uses a twin-scroll turbocharger, petrol direct injection and variable valve control based on the BMW Group’s VALVETRONIC system. This throttle-free load control technology optimizes both the responsiveness of the engine and its efficiency; lightning-fast reactions to the driver’s requests for power go hand-in-hand with a restrained fuel consumption. The technical make-up of the 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine – which sports a John Cooper Works logo on its cover – has a direct link to the development of race-trim engines and honed exclusively for the John Cooper Works models. Its cylinder block and bearing mounts made from aluminum and join forces with reinforced pistons, a particularly high-strength cylinder head and low-weight crankshafts. The exhaust valves are sodium-filled to help provide the extra cooling required by a turbocharged engine, and the intake camshaft features infinite phase adjustment.

The engine produces its maximum output of 211 hp at 6,000 rpm, while peak torque of 260 Newton metres is on tap between 1,750 and 5,500 rpm. The over boost function allows this figure to be raised to 280 Newton meters for a short time between 2,000 and 5,100 rpm. The MINI John Cooper Works now comes standard with a six-speed automatic gearbox with Steptronic function. The automatic transmission with Steptronic also allows the driver to change gears manually using either the selector lever or the shift paddles on the steering wheel.

An outstanding baseline concept and a constant flow of innovations provide the basis for sustained success in race competition and beyond. Indeed, a rigorously applied strategy of further development has also given the road-spec John Cooper Works models a decisive edge in their respective segments.

The MINI John Cooper Works GP limited edition is introduced at Rp. 869,000,000,- off  the road and  MINI John Cooper Works with six-speed automatic transmission is introduced at Rp. 749,000,000 ,- off the road.  All MINI vehicles purchased from Maxindo come with MINI Service Inclusive, offering a five-year or up to 70,000 km free regular maintenance and two-year warranty without mileage limitation.
